ABSTRACT

Current studies for metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been largely focused on gas storage and separation. This chapter briefly summarizes the recent experimental and simulation endeavors for aqueous separation in MOFs. The experiments are reported on the removal of cations, anions, and organics from aqueous solutions, while the simulations are discussed on water desalination, biofuel purification, and the separation of dimethyl sulfoxide, amino acids, and glucose from water.
