ABSTRACT

A questionnaire was sent to large US corporations selected from the Fortune 500 list. These corporations have some degree of international involvement, so they can be classified as multinational corporations. Selected corporations were requested to respond to a series of questions about their international investment. The focus of this study was to understand the selected US corporations' participation in environmentally friendly measures in their US and international operations. These corporations were requested to highlight their use of solar power, wind power, hydropower and bio-fuel. In addition, these corporations were asked to mention their participation in energy efficiency methods and carbon credits trade. It was concluded that most of the responding corporations are involved in some level of environmentally friendly measures. US corporations are aggressively involved in environmentally friendly measures in their US operations compared with their international operations.
