ABSTRACT
This chapter outlines a simple exercise that prepares learners to take the message back to their organisations and to help them learn how to effectively sell it in their organisations by addressing these challenges. In this business simulation, there are four businesses which operate in the same town: a silicon wafer plant, food processor, medical centre and a company manufacturing period lighting products. Hand out the materials and explain that they are to review the materials given to them about the organisation. Walk through the instructions worksheet. They are to come up with ways to make their organisation more sustainable. The washing water from the food processor could irrigate the farmer's fields. The quartz from the silicon wafer plant can be used by the gravel company. The silicon slurry may be used by the concrete company. Excess hot water from the silicon wafer factory might pre-heat autoclaves for the medical facility.
