ABSTRACT
Seiko Epson has its headquarters far from Tokyo, in Suwa, in the foothills of the “Japanese Alps.” This privately owned company, the parent of a group of companies with 69,000 employees spanning 39 countries on six continents, has made a commitment to protect the global environment that far exceeds anything mandated by law, and which goes beyond what even the most green companies think is technically possible.
