ABSTRACT
The work of the German Council for Sustainable Development1 shows ways of pursuing what may be called sustainable politics. This chapter addresses the following questions: What is the mandate of the Council and who are the members? Why establish a Council for Sustainable Development? What have we achieved so far? What are the next steps in the Council’s work?
