ABSTRACT
An economic threshold of environmental effectiveness can be transcended with prices concomitantly increasing for resource replacement and waste management. Above this threshold, environmental optimisation leads to the reduction of prices for products or services. The issues of resource availability and pollution put evolutionary pressure on the development of environmentally intelligent systems.
