ABSTRACT
Econsense is an initiative of leading national and international enterprises and organisations active in the German economy that have integrated the principle of sustainable development into their overall strategy. The goal of the forum, which was established in 2000, is to develop solutions that will encourage a climate for sustainable innovation via dialogue with political institutions. The ultimate goal is practical implementation of the principle of sustainable development. In the foreground of this effort is the balanced consideration of economic, ecological and social policy questions.
