ABSTRACT

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is a parliamentary republic, which separated from Yugoslavia on 5 April 1992. The government system was established after the war, in the early 1990s, and based on the Washington and Dayton peace agreements. According to Transparency International's Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for 2014, BiH ranks 80, which represents a decrease compared to the previous year. In BiH, although there are several institutions dedicated to the prevention of and fight against corruption. The soils in BiH are mostly shallow, with low levels of humus and nutrients. Urbanization and industrialization are causing increasing soil degradation, and considering that more than 80% of the territory of BiH has inclines greater than 13%, soil erosion is a growing problem. BiH is a country with an open economy, which has as a strategic goal of becoming a member of the European Union member. That is one of few targets where there is a general consensus.
