ABSTRACT

History has taught us that global events have from time to time impacted on the content and nature of corporate reporting. Forging the path towards integrated reporting is being done with the input of 103 Pilot Programmers. An integrated report has strategic focus, connectivity of information, future orientation, commentary on responsiveness and stakeholder inclusiveness, and conciseness, reliability and materiality. This chapter shows how "integrated" the report is, including an overview of the business, what happened to the business over the past year and three sections of equal weight on finance, corporate governance and administration. Corporate social responsibility issues would mainly be found in the corporate governance section but one can see references to stakeholders right through the report as well as how the report links to Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). GRI sees sustainability reporting as the key platform for communicating the organization's economic, environmental, social and governance performance, reflecting positive and negative impacts.
