ABSTRACT

This chapter presents a selection of Italian management case studies that were prepared for the Case Writing Competition promoted by Italian Association for Management Development (ASFOR) Italian Association for Management Education. Although many consider it more a technique than a method, there is no doubt that the use of case studies in management education also implies a methodological choice. The nature of the managerial issues present does not exclude the conformation and types of companies in Italy. A perspective is proposed and a contribution to knowledge, which also and above all passes from the study and analysis in Italian and international classrooms of national companies which compete globally. If knowledge passes through narration and capitalization, as it is often stated, then this book intends to move in this direction and start a reflection on the issue that ASFOR observatory considers the most important, namely that of defining the management model in Italy.
