ABSTRACT

This is the story of a family that, by progressively taking on the challenges of the market, has traced a path of growth leading it to become one of Europe’s leaders in the lighting industry. Its innumerable achievements worldwide over its 50 years of activity are the result of a business and management style that has supported an innate passion for architecture and design, with a strong organizational competence and an ongoing commitment to optimization of the “team”. Current challenges, on the other hand, are no less arduous, although different from those of the past: technological innovation changes the paradigms of the market; the lengthening of the subcontracting chain due to varying supply imperatives generates changes on the supply chain side; and the need to protect and grow markets offers new challenges from the cultural and organizational point of view. What strategic choices will guide the company into the future?
