ABSTRACT
Transformative change takes time and involves a complex set of interactions and interconnections among the various obvious and hidden stakeholders and issues. A collaborative approach lies in the heart of such deep change. The authors outline the role of a collaboratory to bring such a collaborative spirit to life and discuss key conditions that need to be assured for a collaboratory to be truly transformational.
