ABSTRACT

This chapter considers some of the crucial conceptual and ethical aspects of this recent explosion of interest in entrepreneurship. It discusses some of the well-known difficulties of identifying what "entrepreneurship" is and what is special about the current efflorescence of entrepreneurship. The chapter suggests that ethical questions regarding entrepreneurship occur at the micro, meso, and macro levels. Entrepreneurship has been linked with the creation of millions of new jobs and a plethora of new products. The implication of demands for decentralization would seem to be that the removal of restrictions should extend down to the lowest levels in all forms of organizations.
