ABSTRACT
In 1973 Hicks attempted to revise and update the Keynesian system. His reformulation was in the spirit of Keynes and not a reversion to pre-Keynesian thinking. This paper examines three recent texts (Mankiw, Parkin and Taylor) for their correspondence with Keynesian ideas.
