ABSTRACT
I prefer the terms “resistances” in the plural and “diversity of activities and behaviors” to the phrase “nebula of devotion” (the literal translation of the original French title of this volume. Trans.), which has a negative connotation because of its vagueness and which causes a certain confusion in the reader or hearer.
