ABSTRACT

This chapter describes elements of praxiology, that is, the science of efficacious action. The main task of praxiology is realising, formulating, justifying and systematising general recommendations and warnings concerning the efficacy of actions, in other words, their practicality. Two persons co-operate with each other only if they purposely help or obstruct each other. Team co-operation is a particular case which occurs if and only if the co-operating parties are united by a common goal which is superior to different individual goals. The tasks of the groups managing institutions enable best to become acquainted with the variety of different directives which are characteristic of positive co-operation. Negative co-operation occurs when one of two parties endeavours to achieve the goal which is discordant with the goal of the other party, and both parties are aware of this fact and try mutually to obstruct each other in their endeavours to reach discordant goals.
