ABSTRACT
The title of this book is Rome and the Legacy of Louis I. Kahn, but I think it could be turned around, making it Kahn and the Rome Legacy, because Rome is the inspiration, it is the source for so many artists, as it was for my father. Rome was a place he returned to again and again, both in person and in his mind over the years. It was a touchstone for him.
