ABSTRACT
This chapter argues that creativity in leadership is important, but that it is not enough for success in leadership. Successful leaders also have common sense and are wise as well as ethical. When leaders fail, it is often because of a lack of ethics, not because of a lack of IQ points. Societies need to do a better job in selecting leaders who are wise and ethical, not just those who are charismatic.
