ABSTRACT
The transportation sector is the one of the most dominating sectors for the fuel consumption which in turn increases the carbon emission. Transportation is one of the most needful sectors for any nation. Thus, constant depletion of fossil fuel gives an alarm to find a suitable alternative to the transportation. The electric vehicle is suitable and more efficient alternative for the fuel-based vehicle. The constant increase in fuel prices urges for one to opt for electric vehicle which also helps to reduce the carbon emission caused due to burning of fuel. In this chapter, the importance of vehicle to grid (V2G) concept is discussed. The integration of renewable energy like solar and wind is analysed along with the strength and weakness of the V2G concept. The need of the energy storage system and battery storage system is also presented to provide the detail analysis of the electric vehicle.
