Malaysian disabled women’s experiences of healthcare settings

Gender disparity is still prevalent in Malaysia and research on disabled women is very limited – little is known of how Malaysian disabled women experience their lives. This chapter reports on a qualitative study that explored the experience of Malaysian disabled women in the context of their access to healthcare. It considers how healthcare experiences intersect with disability and gender.
