ABSTRACT

The current chapter explores the multidimensional nature of both psychopathy and narcissism as well as distinct operational definitions of narcissism in the literature. We also provide an overview of various measurement models of psychopathic narcissism with attention to how narcissism has been assessed within broader measures of psychopathy. An overview of the link between psychopathic narcissism and antisocial behavior is then provided, with particular emphasis on research with children and adolescents. The chapter concludes with a discussion of implications for assessment, treatment, and future directions for the study of psychopathic narcissism.
