ABSTRACT

Clinical Pharmacy course is an important subject in pharmacy curriculum. This study was aimed at developing, implementing and describing students’ evaluations of the course. The Clinical Pharmacy course has been developed for undergraduate pharmacy students, which employed various active learning methods such as case-based learning, patient simulation, and discovery learning to improved learning outcomes. A survey instrument was distributed to the students for course evaluation. The course was to provide students with knowledge and skills necessary to handle drug information, application of pharmacotherapy and early exposure to introduce them to the role of clinical pharmacist in the health care system.Most of the students were satisfied with the coursework, except the module. After completing the course, students demonstrated the increase in knowledge and skills in clinical pharmacy. The Clinical Pharmacy course designed using active learning has improved student’s knowledge and skills in Clinical Pharmacy.
