ABSTRACT

La historia perdida de Kierkegaard y Adorno aims to recover from oblivion the ethical dimension of Soren Kierkegaard's and Theodor L. W. Adorno's philosophy in order to contribute a new research perspective based on the discourse ethics of Jurgen Habermas. The work, written by Asuncion Herrera Guevara is one of the first Spanish studies on the relation between Kierkegaard and Adorno and, more generally, critical theory. In spite of the author's good intentions, the work does not achieve its goals. Its first problem is its structure and methodology. In addition, the volume concludes with a complex reflection on the question of the good life in contemporary societies of advanced capitalism. Neither the good intentions of the work nor the relevance of the topics it considers prevents it from being a superficial and uncritical study full of cliches and poor arguments.
