ABSTRACT

Rafael Larraneta was a major figure in the Spanish reception of Kierkegaard. He is widely acknowledged as the person who was mainly responsible for the decisive turning point in Spanish Kierkegaard studies that took place in the last two decades of the last century. La lupa de Kierkegaard is the paradigm of the acrobatic production since it combines a scholarly advanced understanding of Kierkegaard's work with a light and accessible presentation. It could be argued that only fate assigned the book that particular position, but at the same time it is hard to deny that the work fits extremely well with that interpretation. The first chapter of the book, Jutlandia, opens with the well-known story of Michael Pedersen Kierkegaard's dreadful sin. Chapters 2, Copenhague, 3, Universidad, and 4, Seduccion, continue the biographical account, which includes some of the most controversial episodes of Kierkegaard's profile, such as, for instance, the love affair with Regine Olsen.
