ABSTRACT

The application of wind power participating in frequency regulation is incorporated into engineering. Comparison and analysis indicated that when wind power units participate in frequency regulation, the system achieves a better characteristic of frequency recovery. In pace with the increasing permeability of renewable energy sources, especially wind power, the demand for the application of wind power participating in frequency regulation becomes urgent. With the permeability increase of wind energy and other renewable energy, frequency regulation with renewable energy is gradually becoming a demand in the field of engineering practice. When the power shortage leads to frequency changes in power grid, fans will have certain frequency regulation capability by changing the fan output through additional control module, which can boost the stability of power grid. In view of the frequency recovery effect, the sequence of generator tripping is wind power, low-capacity hydropower, thermal power, and hydropower.
