ABSTRACT

This chapter analyses the development of fire and the temperature field of the several kinds of fire extinguishing systems. It provides a reference for the fire prevention plan in railway tunnel rescue stations. Compressed air foam has high fire extinguishing efficiency, can minimize water consumption, and is suitable for the large-scale use of new fire extinguishing technology. As an important part of super-long railway tunnel, railway rescue station takes on the function of firefighting and evacuation. As the ignition source is small, and the early stage is only the standard combustion material box, the fire heat release rate is small. The fast decay stage is the main process of the initial control of the fire after opening the high-pressure water mist. The water mist has some influence on the foam, the combination of water mist and foam can effectively extinguish the fire under certain conditions, and also has a good effect on cooling the surrounding environment.
