ABSTRACT

Transportation indicates the state of society in the areas of consumption of raw materials, resources or finished products or their parts. The existing imbalance of incomes of the population on a global scale leads to the transportation of products with low production value, and if travel costs are included, these products are cheaper than the products in the country of consumption. The result is a growing volume of freight transport, increasing environmental pollution and social and economic impacts. The level of congestion and how the transport system works thereby impacts the social and economic climate. Given that freight transport is operated on a scale that transcends the borders of individual countries, the specified impacts and effects have an international importance. In the future, it will be necessary to seek out transportation systems that will function optimally, efficiently use possible and acceptable sources, and will be environmentally friendly and safe.
