ABSTRACT
The metallurgical sector is one of the most frequent occurrences of work accidents in Brazil. Hoeltgebaum et al. (2014) sought to identify the risks to which workers are exposed in the metallurgical industries and evaluated the need for educational actions or changes in the work methods of these professionals. It was verified that although the workers of these sectors are better informed and cautious about the prevention of accidents, it is still an environment considered as high occupational risk.
