ABSTRACT

It is common in several vertical residences present internal transformer substations to buildings, which potentially increases exposure to Magnetic Fields (MF) in the apartments adjacent to these transformers (Kendel, 2013). Over the past two decades, residential exposure to low-frequency magnetic fields (MFBF) has been linked to childhood leukemia in consistent epidemiological studies, although causality is still under investigation (Zaryabova, 2013; Su, 2014). The International Agency for Cancer Research (IARC, 2002), ranked the Extreme Low Frequency Magnetic Fields (ELF MF) as potential carcinogens.
