ABSTRACT

A European company survey of new and emerging risks (European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, 2010) shows that psychosocial risks are one of the greatest concerns to the health, social support and education sectors. Managers identify time pressure as the most important cause of psychosocial risk, followed by job insecurity and poor communication between management and workers. Among the different sectors, the biggest difference in levels of concern is dealing with difficult clients, patients, students, etc. The health sector is one of the most problematic sectors.
