ABSTRACT

The objective of this study was to strengthen the teachers’ capabilities related to creative thinking skills. The research methodology used in this research was research and development. The results show that the use of a guidance book about debriefing teachers’ competence based on reflective teaching (DTCRT) by teachers of elementary schools improved their creative thinking skills by 51.53%. It also improved the teachers’ skills in preparing lesson plans based on creative thinking skills and in making assessments based on creative thinking skills by 53% and 63%, respectively. The use of the DTCRT guidance book also improved the skills of the teachers in demonstrating learning activity based on creative thinking skills by 51%. This implies that the use of the DTCRT should be continued and can be applied at educational institutions and for the professional education of personnel and teachers.
