ABSTRACT

The development of science requires each country to be able to compete in a global world. Internationalization has also been attempted in the world of education. This study aimed to describe the students’ perceptions of internationalization, and the causes for them to enter the international study program. The respondents were 58 students of one of the international study programs at a university in Bandung, West Java. The data collection was done by using a questionnaire. Based on the research, it is known that the students’ perceptions towards internationalization are at the level of medium category. The students’ perceptions of internationalization are dominated by factors originating from outside of the student, such as the elderly, information obtained, the hope of future work, and student exchange programs and neighborhoods.
