ABSTRACT

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between factors that affect students’ achievement in the primary teacher education institutes of state universities in Indonesia. The method used in this research was a survey method with correlation testing. From a total population of 1008 university students, data were collected from a sample of 205. Data were collected through inquiry and then analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis technique with the AMOS 4.0 software package. The results showed that the perception levels of students with regard to the profession of educator, the role of the lecturer, classroom climate, the library service, and student motivation were all in the high category. Moreover, among all of these variables, there was either a direct or an indirect correlation.
