ABSTRACT

This paper aims to summarize the literature characteristics on occupational adaptation that has recently taken place in China and suggests directions for future research. Occupational aptitude of drivers has been paid attention to since the late 1980s, and the number of related research papers presents a wave trend, which are increasing especially in recent years. There are two focuses concerning research contents: (1) drivers’ adaptability and (2) analyzing occupational adaptivity from the viewpoint of safety The chief research institutions are Beijing Jiaotong University and Anhui Sanlian Group. Their research objects were mainly drivers and power workers and focused on evaluation criteria. Two directions of future research are suggested: (1) the impact of organization on the individuals should be considered in the evaluation indicators and (2) more attention should be paid to the adaptive testing, learning, and training, which are the key to promoting adaptation ability
