ABSTRACT

The aim of the paper is to present the results of numerical analysis focused on temporary steel scaffolding grandstand. The investigation has been devoted to modal analysis where the modes of free vibrations and the corresponding natural frequencies have been estimated and compared. The structure was complemented with different types of stiffener members. One on them is a typical tubular stiffener, while the second one is specially designed polymer element. Two different types of bracing system have been considered. The shell elements as well as the beam and solid elements have been used in the numerical model. The results of the study clearly show that the values of dynamic parameters for different types of bracing systems substantially diverge.
