ABSTRACT

The theory of thin plates in asymmetric elasticity is constructed by the asymptotic method without the use of assumptions to simplified 3D problem. As a result a three-dimensional problem is reduced to two-dimensional for a plate which, similarly to the theory of symmetric elasticity is divided into a plane problem and a bending problem. Each of these problems is described by a system of differential equations of the sixth order. The error in the received theory is estimated depending on the physical properties of the material, the variability of the stress-strain state, the thickness and the characteristic size of the plate.
