ABSTRACT

In addition to usual Timoshenko kinematic hypothesis new hypotheses are formulated instead of the hypothesis of free approximation of transverse shear stresses: the hypothesis on normal stresses, acting on the sites parallel to sites of initial surface, and the hypothesis of thin-walled package of the shell. On the basis of these hypotheses an applied theory of multilayered elastic shells is constructed (with a true energetic conclusion). The accepted hypotheses for a single-layered homogeneous thin shell are results of qualitative properties of the asymptotic solution of a three-dimensional boundary-value problem in thin domain of the shell.
