ABSTRACT

The paper considers axisymmetric nonstationary problems of dynamics of linear visco-elastic cylindrical shells under the Timoshenko theory. These problems are resolved through Laplace integral transformation in time followed by calculation of originals. The importance of one or another class of function a viscoelastic kernel belongs to is also studied. The author compares wave processes with hereditary kernels of various types connected by certain relations under condition of limited material creep. Among two-parametrical exponential kernels of relaxation there is one having the same effect on transient wave processes in linear visco-elastic shell as on a three-parametrical singular kernel.
