ABSTRACT

The paper presents the four-node quadrilateral and three-node triangular flat shell finite elements for the nonlinear analysis of fragments of reinforced concrete building constructions. The deformation theory of plasticity with elements of degradation as well as the plastic flow theory with Drucker-Prager and Geniyev yield criteria is taken for the simulation of concrete behaviour. The rebar is described by both: deformation theory of plasticity and plastic flow theory employing the von Mises yield criterium. We apply the Mindlin-Reissner theory and consider the stiffness of rebar not only on tension compression but on shear as well. We focus our attention on simulation of an entire fragment of the structure to take into account the interaction of structural elements. The real-life example from the computational practice of IT company SCAD Soft is considered
