ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the Sport for Life: All Island findings. A design thinking process led to the development of a new ecological, reflexive, praxis oriented mentor-training model – The Ecological Mentor-Training Model. Within this, the mentoring conversation was deemed a key site for mentee learning, leading to knowledge productivity. It became clear that the design thinking process, using discourse analysis, might be a novel way train mentors to engage in effective mentoring conversations. This approach is used in the case study chapters in Part II.
