ABSTRACT

This book provides multidisciplinary contributions and fresh research in a very relevant field of study: the evolving multidimensional partnership between the European Union (EU) and the People’s Republic of China (PRC). From a methodological point of view, the editors and the authors strongly believe in the positive effects of mutual fertilisation among a large array of disciplines and sub-disciplines such as comparative politics, international relations, contemporary history, international law, sociology and international political economy. The process of internal reciprocal and critical interaction among the authors was enriched by the invaluable input provided by practitioners and policymakers from the diplomatic world as well as from the EU institutions.
