ABSTRACT

China has seen in recent years many food safety incidents, revealing a large number of problems concerning food safety in production, processing, distribution and supervision. Food safety is seriously important for both personal safety and social security. Establish a food safety system has been a social issue of huge concern. The chapter analyses the micro-foundation and macro-policy for the food safety system of Taiwan-produced pork meat and serves as a reference for the improvement of the food safety system in mainland China.
