ABSTRACT

This chapter describes the two levels of strategy in Five-Level QDA: Level 1—the objectives of a research project—and Level 2—the analytic plan for meeting those objectives. This book does not teach how to write objectives or research questions or how to select a methodology or develop an analytic plan. But because these are prerequisites for putting the Five-Level QDA approach into practice at Level 3, this chapter goes in some depth into the principles behind what needs to be done at Levels 1 and 2 and suggests resources for more practical guidance in these areas.
