ABSTRACT
A framework offering guidance on protections from potential security breach threats is proposed in this chapter. The threats of security breaches are increasing as workplaces become smarter. A smart workplace uses digital technologies to optimize people, things and process activities and is characterized by connectivity, collaboration and mobility through the Internet of People, Things and Services (IoPTS). These technologies have many benefits but also come with many risks. The most potentially dangerous risks are related to security and the risk of data breaches. This chapter proposes an IoPTS data governance framework that has the potential to reduce such risks.
