ABSTRACT

This part conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters. The part shows that the transformative practices essential to challenging the status quo are about the process of effecting change in current frames of reference; about challenging myths and imagining new possibilities. It discusses the need to engage both learners and teachers in transformative pedagogies, developing both learners and teachers as citizens who can engage effectively with public, community and voluntary sectors. The part looks at the education system in Israel reveals a large number of difficult and complex problems. It explores the need to promote reforms of pedagogical innovation which will serve as a mechanism for pedagogical innovation and for adopting innovative thinking in the education system. With regard to Arab society in Israel, which is an integral part of Israel's education system, the situation is even more serious in all dimensions.
