ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the spiritual power of Deep-Dialogue or global dialogue. The capacity for Deep-Dialogue is of the utmost importance for the authenticity and quality of one's religious life. There can be no separation of spirituality and political life. When we enter the global space of Logos through Deep-Dialogue, we are able to discern the same global or universal moral law formulated differently in diverse religious worlds. The global dialogical imperative is at the same time the ground of a shared form of life across cultures and worlds – the emergence of a shared space of global democracy in Logos. The chapter explores the spirituality of Deep-Dialogue as the common ground of religious and interreligious life. There is a convergence of the imperative to be in dialogue, the imperative of global ethics and the meeting of spirituality and the political form of life.
