ABSTRACT

Professional retraining of human resources - which stimulates the capability of reacting to the industry's exogenous and endogenous demands - is a source of competitive advantage and an effective tool in the implementation of employment-oriented policies. The aim of the project was to create proper conditions for job flexibility, meant as the capability of the labour force to perform different functions both within the same firm and in other firms of the logistics filiere, in response to evolutionary dynamics. The original project included development and implementation of 20 training and vocational re-training courses, differentiated according to the various segments of the transport filiere. In the revised as in the original project, training paths were defined on the basis of the needs of the individual operators in the transport filiere. In personalising the training path, it was possible for the participants to optimise their time for training purposes, taking into account the constraints of their working terms and conditions.
