ABSTRACT
This case presents a tool for transportation planning and makes some preliminary calculations for the urban region of Antwerp (Belgium).1 The tool and the process of developing it are based the notions of sustainable urban development and integrated urban governance. In this report, the focus is on sustainability, which is examined by evaluating solutions to traffic congestion during the evening rush hour. The concept of accessibility is at the centre of the model.
