ABSTRACT
This chapter delves into connections between mobilities research and sound studies. After considering some important links between sound and mobility, I focus on the artistic practice of making a music-route, particularly the way it sonically engages ideas of location-based media, participation, and collaboration. The chapter concludes by emphasizing how sonic and mobile practices are increasingly networked and interdependent, pointing to the importance of sound and listening for mobilities research.
