ABSTRACT

Can two countries learn from one another about cycling when one of the countries in the comparison has significantly more cyclists than the other? The author and his research say they definitely can. The research this chapter is based on has found a lot of do’s and don’ts for encouraging cycling in the two examined countries: the UK and the Netherlands. The chapter describes the research and lists some mainline findings that can be interesting for readers from these two countries as well as those from anywhere else in the world.
